What is North Dorset Prostate Cancer Support Group?
This Support Group was started with the belief that every single one of us is resilient, and that our resilience can be fostered with the help and support of a community. Our members provide the place and space for personal growth, self-reflection, learning, and bonding. We invite you to find out more information and hope you will join us. We are supported by: Tackle Prostate Cancer UK, Macmillan Cancer Care and local medical practices
What We Offer
The North Dorset Prostate Cancer Support Group is a community of individuals impacted by Prostate Cancer who come together monthly to support one another. We have honest conversations about our experiences.
We also attend health events and educate local men about signs and symptoms of Prostate Cancer.
Community Support
Professionials
Our Support Group is supported by the Urology Department at Salisbury Hospital and our contact is a Specialist Nurse. We communicate with local medical practices who have encouraged this group from the start. We take advice on how to run the group from Tackle Prostate Cancer.
Peer-to-Peer
Direct support
If you’re not sure about being in a group, Peer-to-Peer might be a great place to start. Contact us if you’d like more information.
